Position: Senior Linux DeveloperDescription:This is a senior engineering position involving the design and implementation of Linux software to support Logitech's Internet communications products. The position requires intimate knowledge of Linux system internals and experience in developing GUI applications for Linux using GTK /Qt. In addition the candidate should have solid team working skills and excellent written and oral communication. You will be a core member of a team that is on the leading edge of embedded systems development at Logitech.Programming:*
  • C/C .*
  • GUI development for Linux using GTK .*
  • Preferable Linux multi-media subsystem (framebuffer, V4L2, ALSA/OSS) experience.*
  • Scripting: (Bourne Shell, PERL, Python, init, Autoconf/Automake, GNU make, DEB/APT)*
  • VCS: (CVS, SVN, GIT, Bazaar) Surround SCM & VSS a plus*
  • Development Tools - Eclipse, CDT, DBG, g , autotools*
  • Technologies - gtkmm, glibmm, pthreads, glib, STL, Open GL, Open GL ES, EGL, XML, SOAP, glade, libsigc , Grub, BSD sockets.This position requires a BS/CS and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience. Commercial or production development experience is required.This position is for a Senior Linux Software engineer who will be responsible for design and implementation of software for embedded Linux. The candidate should be self-starter and will need to work closely with Technical leads and other team members in all phases of the software development process, including requirement analysis, design specification and test plans, coding, unit testing, performance optimization and troubleshooting.We would consider either a contractor or an FTE for this position.Rick Rafey will be OOO from 8/13-20, but please don't delay posting due to his absence.
