COMPANY: Financial firm seeks a Linux Server Engineer withextensive experience in the design, implementation, and support of theRedHat Linux and Solaris Operating Systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Installation and support of RedHat Enterprise Linux using Puppet configuration management.
* Installation and support for Solaris 9/10 on Sparc and Solaris 10 on x86_64.
* Experience with Kernel tuning for improved hardware performance. Administration of high performance clustered NFS.
* SAMBA implementation and support.
* Integration of Linux/Solaris with Active Directory.
* Support for Linux on the desktop a plus.
* Automation of processes through the use of Shell or Perl scripts.
* Develop and document automated and manual procedures for quarterly review of Linux/Solaris environments.
* Work effectively with IT team on projects and future backup related technology initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:
* At least 5-10 years technical experience with Enterprise Linux.
* Strong project management skills.
* Strong technical server management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Documentation and status reporting.
* Responsibility for installation and administration of RedHat Linux and Solaris server environment.
