Description
Data Stewardship position on The End User Management Team. The EUM Team provides training, access, and other critical information to the End Users on the analytical platforms (Teradata, SAS, UNIX, etc).


Interacts with end users to ensure the security, quality, and governance of Capital One's analytical platforms to solve business problems. Ensures end users have appropriate level of communication, training and user documentation for the platform and subject area usage. Define and Implement Data and Platform Access Strategy. Engages in high impact technology projects to provide subject matter expertise with respect to data architecture, potential impacts of data decisions, and the audits required to maintain data integrity. Alerts IT to issues in the data environment and partners with them to implement break-fixes and enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation, documentation, and publishing of business metadata
  • Create scripts to validate data quality within subject areas
  • Respond to end user data/technical questions
  • Maintain and monitor data integrity and data access
  • Production Support - Identify issues, review errors, approve resolution, and advise of potential downstream impacts.
  • Database Compliance - Partner with ITRO and other groups to identify and remediate Database Compliance issues
  • Project Analysis and Testing - Provide support for projects, review requirements and identify resolutions for potential issuesdf-tc

    Experience/Skills
    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree in math, business, statistics, engineering, computer science, or information systems (MIS or IS)

    1 Year experience in Programming, Application Development, and/or Data Warehousing

    Proficient technical skill set including experience with Unix, SAS, Microsoft Excel

    1 Year experience in Data Analysis


    Preferred Qualifications:

    Masters Degree in math, business, statistics, engineering, computer science, or information systems (MIS or IS)

    Teradata certification, Unix, SAS, Microsoft Excel

    2 Years experience in Programming

    2 Years experience in Data analysis

    2+ Years experience in Programming, Application Development, and/or Data Warehousing
