Job Description: The Senior MS Project Server Administrator/Engineer is responsible for providing administration and technical support for MS Project and MS Project Server. The Administrator will support design and develop modifications as identified by the business and project stakeholders. May work individually, or as a member of/leader of a supoort project team. Primary responsibility is in managing the adminstrative and technical support for MS Project Server for a multi-tiered development team. Using knowledge of the DOT environment, he/she will deliver timely and with high quality incident resolution on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. Assist with MS Project Server re-design and delivery in order to align with department stakeholders responsibilities. Establsih expertise in add-ons and modifications as needed, or requested, by Project owners. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding of MS Project Server administration, torubleshooting, tools, templates, add-ons, and customizations, demonstrated experience in implementing and upgrading MS Project. Demonstrated strong analysis skills, and making critical business recommendations.
Required Skills: - Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or other science related area, or equivalent professional work experience
- At least six years experience in MS Project Server Support Engineer or Architect working in a large business site of 3,000 users or more
- Strong experience and knowledge of MS Project Server Administration and Implementation 2003
- Strong experience working with MS Project Tools and Templates
- Must have strong knowledge of MS Project Sever enhancements and add-ons
- Must have a thorough academic and practical understanding of a PMO office and the processes and procedures associated with a full software devopment lifecycle environment
- Must have ability to work in a dynamic environmnet with changes in deadlines and requirements
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills: - Previous experience in evaluatiing or installing MS Project Server 2007
- Microsoft Project Server Certification
- MCP (Project Server)
- PMP Certification
