Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Applications to join our team in Providence, RI.

Selected candidate will lead the system enhancement work for a set of healthcare payer applications in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities include:
  • On time and on budget delivery of requested enhancements and changes to the assigned subsystems, acting as main point of client contact regarding all work in the assigned subsystems
  • Perform or oversee the breakdown and assignment of work to matrixed team members, working closely with the team resource managers to forecast upcoming needs for requested work
  • Direct and monitor work progress including weekly status of actual vs. planned hours, activity completion progress, issue management and risk identification, escalating issues to leadership as necessary

    Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 10 years' related experience in a complex application development environment with at least 5 of these years being in a leadership capacity
  • Experience managing large projects or a number of concurrent small to medium size projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar project scheduling tool with the ability to manage to a budget
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills with a passion for client satisfaction
  • Bachelor level degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent gained through additonal years of work experience

    Desired Skills:
  • Significant and recent experience in the health care payer industry segment
  • Experience in a matrixed organization
  • Experience working with an offshore resource team

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • PMI Certification
