Title Sr. Manager, Business & Product Development Requirements Reporting Structure Reports to Sr. Director, Business & Product Development Business & Product Development (B&PD) develops and manages products offered by the company to address client needs while meeting corporate and division objectives for revenue and profit. Business Requirements plays a critical, specialized support role within BP&D by supporting product owners in identifying, defining and fulfilling product needs involving IT capabilities, in a manner consistent with business strategy. Core Competencies: - In depth understanding of the business and its supporting systems in order to recommend the best business/technical solutions to support new product development, client plan changes, and key corporate initiatives (i.e. Specialty pharmacy). - Proposes solutions that enable universal and flexible application development as well as providing synergies with other enterprise initiatives and product offerings. These solutions provide a variety of options to achieve project deliverables that fit within the project scope. - Works cross functionally with Product Development, Account Management, Clinical, Legal, Professional Practices, Operations and IT to identify and refine capabilities in a pro-active manner. - Documents and manages detailed business and functional requirements for execution by IT and operational groups. - Possesses strong project management skills that enable clear communication of project status, associated risk factors, and delivery expectations to all stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. - Identifies, manages and coordinates cross functional dependencies related to project development and implementation. - Maintains a partnership with IT, Product Managers, Operations and Release Management to ensure appropriate timing of resource availability for project development and testing. - Consultative skills that support Product Owners, Account Management and Operations to determine current state capability vs. desired state planning. - Interfaces with Account Management and Operations to ensure client expectations are aligned with application development and delivery timelines - Creates and maintains a standard use case model for all products to enable consistency and efficiency. - Ensures consistent information is provided across consumer facing channels. Daily Responsibilities: - Prepares clear product concept business requirement documents in response to client requests, new business functionality, enhanced core capabilities, and issue resolution. - Partners with development to ensure all modifications are understood and delivered as required. - Provides ongoing analytical support to identify and resolve systems and operational issues. - Participates in various production support meetings: Monthly prelim and lock meetings, Pipeline, Weekly Manager?s Meeting, DSW, CMI, IMC and Open Ticket Review. - Writes SSRs and manages the Release Management process for scheduling development and QA.
