Sebesta Blomberg is currently seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer in our Arlington, VA location. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and well versed on leading and contributing to engineering teams in the delivery of mechanical systems commissioning, energy and consulting on complex projects for local and national clients
Qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering-PE required, LEED Accredited Professional a plus.
Extensive knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
Familiarity with building electrical and plumbing systems.
Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Working Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered a plus.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
Lead and contribute to engineering teams in the delivery of mechanical systems, commissioning, design, energy and consulting on complex projects for local and national clients.
Manage projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule.
Assist in business development and preparation of proposals.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Participate in training and mentoring of staff

Experience/Skills
Minimum 10 years experience in building mechanical systems design, commissioning and construction processes for large complex buildings.
Experience leading teams in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
Experience with MS Office Suite
