Description
SmartSource is a 10 year old IT staffing company that specializes in IT staff augmentation services. Headquartered in the western suburbs of Chicago, offering nationwide coverage SmartSource provides a wide variety of IT resources on a contract, contract to hire, perm placement or project basis .

We are currently seeking a Sr. Microsoft Engineer with some Technical background for the following perm position:

Description:

- Windows 2000 and 2003 Active Directory environments including DNS, DNS, and AD design

-Knowledge of RDBMS, ODBC and DB concepts and experience with MS SQL Server

-Experience with and a firm knowledge of server hardware, HP and IBM, and SAN storage technology

-Experience supporting production websites with a good understanding of Microsoft IIS

-Solid understanding of networking and networking technologies in both LAN and WAN environments and be able to work with our network infrastructure group to resolve any type of network related problems as needed.

-Ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision

-Must be proficient with scripting languages such as Perl, VB, WSH or Batch

-Candidate should show strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and project management skills

-Experience supporting large enterprise customers in a Managed Hosting environment is vital

-Customer facing soft skill set
