Description
Our Client a leading Value Added Reseller has a full time opening in Sunnyvale, CA for a Very Senior Level Storage/Virtualization Engineer/Architect for their SF Bay area clients.

Desired Start Date: Immediate
Travel Requirements (%): 20-30% San Francisco Bay Area


Responsibilities:
• Facilitate long-term customer relationships through the delivery of technical solutions to customer business problems.
• Maintain technology expertise & currency in Storage Area Network (SAN) Solutions and Virtualization Technologies.
• Provide approximately 20% presales and 80% post-sales delivery.
• Expertly deliver storage and virtualization-based solutions to customer base as well as provide pre- and post-sales Engineering support to Sales Team.

Years of Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure design, development and deployment, either as a Storage/Virtualization Architect or Expert Storage/Virtualization Administrator.

Required Expertise:
• This role must demonstrate ability to maintain and expand upon their expertise in NetApp and VMware Technologies.
• They must be able to communicate current features, benefits and other intricacies of required technologies to our customers in a coherent and organized manner, and support pre- and post-sales consulting services.
• This role must demonstrate strong documentation skills in the development of deliverables such as design specifications and proposals.
• This role must demonstrate implementation expertise in NetApp and VMware technologies including: FAS Filer, Heterogeneous environment design/architecture and virtualization software (VMotion, High Availability, DRS, SRM).
• Solaris System administration – requires good implementation and presales skills.

Desired Expertise:
• Experience with current HDS and EMC storage arrays and software
• Solaris 10 System administration – requires good implementation and presales skills.

Required Certifications:
Any current certifications in one or more of the following: NetApp (professional or expert) and VMware VCP
Desired Certifications:
NetApp, Veritas, VMware or Citrix certifications highly desirable.

Required Education:
BS in technology or 5 years in the Information Technology field

Desired Education:
MS in technology or 7 years in the Information Technology field
