Description
CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We have an immediate need for a Senior Network Administrator.
The Sr. Network Administrator is responsible for management of the physical networking environment, including configuration, troubleshooting, security, resource monitoring, and the development of specialized scripting, and is responsible for providing IT Infrastructure with a long term perspective on the relationship of the infrastructure computing environment to the opportunities facing the enterprise.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Designs and implements Local Area Network technologies, including Layer3 switches, routers, redundancy options, and other LAN technologies.
Designs and implements Wide Area Network technologies, including VPN, MPLS, and other WAN technologies.
Responsible for developing and maintaining network monitor solutions (i.e. SNMP, RMON).
Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
Set standards and procedures for maintaining the network configurations, troubleshooting, security, and resource monitoring of the Network Infrastructure.
Evaluates network LAN and WAN performance and reports to Infrastructure management.
Defines scripts, monitoring and procedures for daily network operational support.
Performs at or above the enterprises Information Technology performance standards.
Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, or education.

Qualifications / Experience:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Good communication skills.
Cisco certifications desired. CCNE or equivalent certification.
Experience in multi-site WAN implementations.
Demonstrated experience in high availability WAN and LAN technologies.
SNMP, RMON technologies.
Windows 2000+, Linux experience desired.
At least 8 years experience in an Information Technology role.df-tc
