The Edward Jones Information Systems (IS) division is seeking an individual for a Senior Network Analyst - Satellite/WAN Operations position to provide third tier level support for the global enterprise network and monitor and maintain all network systems.

Responsibilities:
-Support teams and departments enterprise wide with technical expertise in TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Cisco routers and switches.
-Support Satellite/VSAT technology, IF/RF troubleshooting, and all associated hardware.
-Troubleshooting layer 2 and 3 problems, third party vendor networks, and technical support for the enterprise network.
-Decoding packets, understand, and troubleshoot production problems using Network Analyzers.
-Use Network Monitoring Tools for identification of problems and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
-LAN/WAN troubleshooting of IOS and hardware related to network issues.
-Participate in design and technology reviews, strategy meetings, and brainstorming sessions.

Qualified applicants will have:
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems.
-Five or more years of experience with TCP/IP, RIPv2, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF routing protocols, Ethernet, Cisco routers and switches, and large multi-vendor Layer 3 networks.
-Experience with RF hub operations and troubleshooting, Satellite/VSAT Technology.
-Experience with WAN troubleshooting, Network Management Systems such as Spectrum and OpenView, and installation and maintenance of carrier-provided data communications circuits T1, ISDN etc.
-Practical experience with configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches.
-Ability to analyze, identify and resolve network problems independently and within a team environment.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


NOTE: This individual must be flexible as the expected work environment requires on-call, pager support, weekend, and possible shift work

Experience/Skills
