Description
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor core services such as Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, group policy, Exchange 2000 / 2003, SQL Server, IIS. Possess a customer/user - focused attitude. Interface with team members, clients, customers, and vendors. Provide technical expertise in a variety of areas. Other reasonable System Engineer services associated with the planning, deployment, installation, administration, and management. Perform highly advanced Windows 2000 / 2003 activities. Create and document all actions, practices, procedures and processes. Confer with management, define the bounds and aims of system implementations, and provide management with status and progress reports. Plan and design projects. Analyze existing system procedures for efficiency and effectiveness. Produce system designs and installation. Analyze business requirements to design and implement an infrastructure solution based on a Windows platform and Microsoft Server software. Evaluate potential system enhancements. Mentor team members. Work under limited direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements:

Expert Knowledge of Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000.Experience with Backup software such as BackupExec, Netbackup, BrightStor ARCserve.Experience with Antivirus programs, Spam Filters, and Web monitoring.Experience with creating and deploying standard desktop images.Excellent verbal and written skills. Knowledge of and experience with different server operating platforms. Windows 2000 MCSE certification with emphasis on Exchange and Active Directory. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor/s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Experience with UNIX / Linux, Netware, Windows 2003. Storage Area Network experience a plus.Experience developing automated administration tools using Visual Basic, Perl, batch files, etc.Microsoft / UNIX CertificationsExpert knowledge of Windows architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and maintenance. Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, WINS, and DHCP. Expert knowledge of the Remote Installation Services and Group Policy. Experience with Clustering Services / High availability systems.Experience in security and system hardening.
