Description

For this contract-to-hire position, you will design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, SAN, and server based systems for the nation's largest dealership!


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Developing and maintaining all systems, applications, security, and network configurations
  • Troubleshooting network performance issues
  • Creating and maintaining a disaster recovery plan
  • Managing the performance of multiple hardware and software platform interfaces at the most complex level
  • Supporting and maintaining VMWare ESC Virtual Infrastructure, Microsoft back office products, SAN, and related applications
  • Supporting and maintaining a multi-vendor enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure based on Cisco and HP equipment
  • Participating in a rotating 24/7 on call support
  • Acting as backup for desktop support personnel

Experience/Skills

  • 3+ years related work experience
  • Experience administering VMWare ESX servers in an enterprise environment
  • Experience administering enterprise SAN technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and back office products
  • Experience supporting enterprise security products
  • Experience developing and maintaining data protection strategies
  • Understanding of ATM/Frame-Relay and other wide-area technologies
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP DNS DHCP Active Directory
  • Cisco Certification (CCNA minimum, CCNP is preferred)
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSA minimum, MCSE is preferred)
