Position Description: Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex technical support and operating systems or subsystems initiatives. Leads, conducts, and coordinates the analysis, planning, and implementation of systems software and/or hardware. Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and documents operating systems.

Plans and defines systems software and/or hardware requirements and determines system specifications and/or customizations.

Directs the design of subsystems and integration of total systems. Identifies and resolves the most complex problems. Provides leadership, direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.

Develops specifications for complex systems, design, and test voice and/or data communications solutions. Designs complex system upgrades. Leads the evaluation of vendor proposals, conducts network studies and traffic analyses, develops network architectures, prepares forecasts of network traffic and capacity, and recommends modifications to the network configurations that reduce costs or improve service. Serve as a high-level technical resource on large-scale voice and/or data communications issues. Represent the business in design discussions with business and enterprise partners.

The qualified candidate would have 10 years hands on experience working and consulting with complex network systems and should have thorough working knowledge of Cisco, F5 and Checkpoint. The ideal candidate would be a CCNE equivalent with the ability to relate complex technical designs and issues to technical and non-technical business partners.
