Title: Senior Network Product ManagerLocation: Belmont, CATerms: Direct Hire, FTESalary: TBDStart: As soon as possibleReports to Vice President, MarketingOverall Objective The Senior Network Product Manager will drive the product definition and delivery of the companys core Instant Mobile Network product line which consists of network protocols, security functions and system and network management capabilities. He/she will lead our efforts to understand the end customers pain points and define the correct product features and functionality that need to be delivered over the products lifecycle. The Senior Network Product Manager will work with a cross functional team to deliver customer focused, reliable products on schedule and within budget. Principal Responsibilities1. Gather and prioritize market and customer requirements via customer interaction and market research. 2. Define product roadmap and product requirements and write Marketing Requirements Documents, Product Requirements Documents, and Functional Specifications. 3. Work with engineering, documentation, QA, etc. to deliver products.4. Interface with and actively support the field sales force, distribution partners and end customers as the product expert. 5. Work with others in product management to manage product interdependencies.6. Analyze competitive offerings and develop competitive strategies.7. Make presentations to customers as well as other key influencers. 8. Participate in and support product/solution reviews by press and analysts.9. Develop relationships with, and understand product plans of, the 802.11 infrastructure manufacturers, chip developers as well as 802.11 device OEMs and ODMs.Knowledge/Skills Required 1. At least 5+ years lead product management experience in defining and delivering wireless products and services.2. Familiarity with 802.11 access points and interface cards including hardware and software.3. Detailed experience with network appliances such as VPN, firewall and routers, including hardware and software.4. Experience developing detailed product requirements for networking, wireless or security products.5. Experience successfully managing multiple projects from concept to delivery while meeting tight schedules and firm budgets.6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong business analysis skills.7. Strong team player and contributor with demonstrated leadership ability.8. Self motivated and directed - passionate about delivering exceptional products. 9. Desirable 10. Experience delivering products and services to the public safety/first responder market.11. Education 12. A technical BS and/or an MBA are strongly desired.
