Description
The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the global network security architecture with a focus on identifying network vulnerabilities of routine to difficult complexity and then designing, planning and executing solutions to improve the security of PPD?s global network infrastructure.

The Senior Network Security Engineer?s duties include network security training, developing network security practices, and developing strategies and plans to provide for business continuity in the event of a serious network disruption.

Education and Experience:
-4-yr degree in Computer Science or related area
-6 years experience in network and security administration supporting a multi-site network and internally hosted DMZ.
-Experience with at least four of the following systems and/or network technologies: frame relay/T1/ISDN/VPN connectivity, Cisco Routers/Switches, Nortel Switches/Routers, DSU/CSU equipment, TCP/IP, Cisco PIX and/or Checkpoint Firewall-1firewall technology, remote access technologies, Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems.
