DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Operate as a member of a global network support team responsible for all aspects of networking and voice support around the world
* Participate in global network projects working with global team members
* Evaluate and apply new networking technologies that will benefit Lubrizol's business
* Participate in global network support for 24x7 coverage via pager
* Participate in related projects as a networking specialist
* Take a lead role in developing and implementing new network and communications solutions
* Travel to domestic and international locations as part of project implementations on an as needed basis
* Train and develop other team members' technical skills where appropriate
* Proactively develop and contribute to global networking policies, procedures and standards
* Develop positive relationships with other technical groups to educate and increase awareness of network and communications activities

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* BS/BA in IT or Business with 7 years IT experience in CISCO LAN and WAN Network architecture design, configuration and support or7 years IT experience with CCNA (or better) certification.
* Good understanding and awareness of VOIP technology. Practical application would be a distinct advantage.
* A thorough and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP
* General awareness and appreciation of a global Microsoft environment.
* Experience with MPLS Networking and QoS settings in a Cisco environment
* Working knowledge of BGP and EIGRP routing protocols
* Using VPN technology in a Cisco environment
* Good communication and listening skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to manage projects
* Be able to operate as a team player
* Must be a self starter and be able to use a high degree of initiative

CONSIDERED A PLUS:

* Network Management tools
* Project leadership experience
* Knowledge of Avaya telephony solutions
* PIX Firewalls
* CCNA certified

SALARY RANGE: $64,500 to $99,800
BONUS ELIGIBLE
