Responsibilities:
. Serve in a leadership role regarding providing instruction, direction and monitoring the work of staff on projects, while working with other Senior Open Systems Programmers and Managers.
.Prepare detailed specifications, design, code, test, debug and document programs developed
. Develop financial based applications using open systems tools/languages such as UNIX/Linux, Shell Scripting, AWK, etc.
. Serve as a Project Leader, including the installation, modification and maintenance of vendor software
Below are the required skills for this position:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent professional experience
. 7+ years of programming and analysis experience in UNIX/Linux, Shell Scripting, AWK, .NET, and FoxPro.
. Experience as a developer is a must as this is not a Linux and/or Unix Administrator role, as our client is looking for a UNIX/Linux Open Systems Developer.

. Experience with DOS Batch, Visual Basic, Perl, MySQL, SQL, Visual C++/C#, Access and Basic
. Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM and other Mainframe technologies
