Modis is currently seeking a Senior Oracle DBA for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Dallas, TX area. The position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 2 months. There is a very high likelihood of long-term contract extension.
JOB DESCRIPTION:The Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for on-going support and performance tuning activities for an Oracle E-business Suite version 11.5.10.This position will involve a heavy amount of support and performance tuning for Oracle 10g/11i databases, RAC and Dataguard. Performance tuning activities may also include SQL, PL/SQL, Discoverer Reports and Business Objects. In addition to performance tuning, the Senior Oracle DBA will be assisting in the installation, configuration, maintenance and ongoing support for Oracle EBS Applications including Oracle ERP, Oracle Financials/CRM and Oracle SCM solutions. Candidates must have an expert knowledge of Oracle E-business Suite and Oracle 10/g11i database administration within a Unix environment. An advanced level of understanding with RAC and Dataguard is a must.
