Description
This experienced Oracle Developer will be part of a development team that is responsible for the Geneva Portfolio Accounting software package. Design and development efforts will concentrate on the support of the existing applications and new enhancements. The ideal candidate is one who is well-versed in the Geneva data model and reporting tools. ORACLE PL/SQL coding EXPERTISE and some Perl scripting experience are MANDATORY. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and self-motivation in addition to proven experience supporting business users. Daily Activities: Working with the development team to handle support requests, and to design and implement the enhancements for the application. This experienced Oracle Developer is also responsible for writing unit tests and design documentation. Duties will also include: - maintaining existing Geneva RSL reports. - maintaining existing PL/SQL logic. - building new reports and data extracts from Geneva into Information Administration systems.

Requirements:

* Minimum 7 years experience in Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL. * Minimum 3 years experience in Unix Shell Scripting. * Minimum 3 years experience in Perl. * GENEVA (A Portfolio Accounting System for large global investors) * RSL coding experience (proprietary reporting language for Geneva). * Experienc in Java (JDK 1.4)is desirable. Education/Experience: * A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering/mathematical studies. * A minimum of 7 years of professional development experience, preferably in the investment industry, or equivalent experience are required.df-tc
