We have an opportunity for a Senior PeopleSoft Developer to support the PeopleSoft Financials system at PETCO ? support responsibilities include system development and maintenance. The Sr. PeopleSoft Developer must be able to lead a development through all phases of the development life cycle and to advise outside consultants regarding PETCO's technical standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Act as lead developer and integrator through all stages of the Peoplesoft application development life cycle with regard to in-house personnel and outside consultants.

* Work as part of a team utilizing standard PeopleSoft and Financials development processes, tools and architecture.

* Under limited guidance, perform complex analyses, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and problem solving of application and technology components.

* Interact and communicate effectively with ERP Development team members to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of PeopleSoft updates and modifications into production.

* Troubleshoot and correct application errors.


Education/Experience:

Four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Training or quality related experience in such topics as PeopleTools I/II, SQL/SQR, and PeopleCode is required.

Minimum five years experience programming and developing PeopleSoft Financials. Strong technical and analytical skill with extensive development background is required. Thorough understanding of relational databases, Unix, and Windows 2000/2003 is necessary. Must have knowledge of one or more of the following PeopleSoft Financials applications: Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Asset Management, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and/or eProcurement, Project Costing. Thorough understanding of PeopleCode, SQL, SQR, nvision, query, PeopleSoft Cobol, Application Engine, Security, PIA architecture.
