We have an opportunity for a Senior PeopleSoft Developer to lead the PeopleSoft technical development team through all phases of the development life cycle and to advise outside consultants regarding Petco's technical standards. This position will allow the IS ERP group to accomplish technical initiatives faster and more economically than we currently can.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Act as lead developer throughout all stages of the application development life cycle.

2.Work as part of a team utilizing standard PeopleSoft and HRMS development processes, tools and architecture.

3.Under limited guidance, perform complex analyses, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and problem solving.

4.Provide production support to end-users as necessary.

5.Analyze, apply, and test Payroll Tax Updates.

6.Special projects as assigned.
Education/Experience:

Four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Training or quality related experience in such topics as PeopleTools I/II, SQL/SQR, and PeopleCode is required.

Minimum of five years experience programming and analyzing PeopleSoft HR, Payroll, and Benefits Administration. Thorough PeopleSoft Payroll application knowledge with experience applying Tax Updates a must. Understanding of relational databases, Unix, and Windows 2000, PeopleCode, SQL, SQR, nvision, query, PeopleSoft Cobol, Application Engine, Security, and PIA is necessary. Must be a team player with strong written and oral communication skills.
