Description
Adecco Technical is looking for a full-time permanent Sr. Programmer/Web Developer for our client in Farmingdale, NY. Successful candidates should have at least 5 years of development experience. Required skills include Java and Cold Fusion. Experience with SAP or similar accounting software is also required.

Requirements:

Responsibilities include: Analyze and develop specifications, determines feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities required for new or revised websites and systems. Design, develop, debug, implement, and manage the coding and graphic development of web software packages and web applications. Design heuristics and flow-path of applications and websites. Create and maintain relational databases that integrate into companys web-based applications. Provide technical troubleshooting, support and resolution to all website applications managed by the Web/IT group. Establish self as a team member of the company, able to participate and work as a team player complimenting the unique attributes of the existing team. Superior project management skills, with strong ability to multi-task. Drive for results, maintain a sense of urgency and commitment to the goal of achieving results on time and within budget. Analyze complex business and technical problems to define system scope and objectives. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Meet with personnel from user departments to determine needs, scope, and priorities of systems development projects, and specific systems information requirements. Work with user departments in order to identify project parameters, operational flow, and output requirements. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Prepare required user and application documentation for the implementation and running of new and revised systems. Provide technical training and assistance to user-department staff in requirements and use of new systems. Required Experience: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. At least nine years experience in full life cycle enterprise-level application development and implementation. Understanding of web authoring and database design. Strong written, oral presentation, management skills. Ability to lead information technology strategy development with senior executives. Ability to articulate complex technology concepts effectively in non-technical terms in a compelling manner. Working knowledge and experience using Coldfusion is absolutely required. Also knowledge of Java/J2EE, C++, MY-SQL, Perl, HTML, Macromedia Flash, Javascript, SQL Server, Informix, Unix, Linux, Photoshop Illustrator, LAN/WAN networking, Data Modeling & perform messaging techniques using EDI, MQ messaging & XML and all similar applications. Working experience with accounting software such as Sap, SAP Business One, MAS 90/200/500, Great Plains, Net Suite, Everest Advanced, Accpac, Exact Financials, or similar accounting software, is required. Thorough technical expertise and knowledge of the retail environment and retail business functions. Demonstrated experience with store, merchandise and inventory management and distribution systems.
