Berean Group is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst C/AIX-UNIX



Position Description:



Interface application programmer needed to develop and maintain C based programs in a Unix AIX environment. The Senior Programmer Analyst must have 4 to 6 years experience in C programming, Sybase SQL procedures, and shell script applications in a Unix AIX environment. Windows based C programming does not qualify. Applications are hosted on multiple servers in batch and real time interface environments. Experience in FTP and file processing is preferred. Provide 2nd level production support as needed. Required to be on a rotating 24 x 7 on call support schedule.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to: Develop applications from reviewing requirements documents; Solid organizational and planning abilities required; Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems through root cause analysis and initiate measures to prevent future occurrences; The ability to communicate orally and in writing at all levels: as a team member, with customers, and management.

Healthcare industry experience is preferred. Use of Remedy for service request, incident, problem, and change management is a plus. Star Team experience is also a plus.
