The Senior Programmer Analyst is the senior developer that produces applications and processes that will enhance and support business requirements. The Senior Programmer Analyst works with developers to identify new technologies and applies existing tools to solve new business challenges. The Senior Programmer Analyst aids in the guidance and mentoring of junior technical staff members.

Duties include:

* Provides Technical Leadership to other developers
* Investigates new technical tools and resources for use by others in the department
* Works with management to determine technical standards
* Works with end users, management and support staff to identify areas where new applications will solve business problems.
* Documents new applications as needed to deploy application to the user community.
* Unit tests new applications prior to Quality Assurance testing.
* Identifies and minimize risks to implementing new applications.
* Trains other developers and support staff on new applications, tools and utilities.
* Works with other IT staff to solve business problems as needed.
* Utilizes project management tools to update end users and management on progress.

Essential Qualifications:

* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, especially the ability to multi-task.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, especially in workgroup and technical support scenarios.
* Must be self-motivated and highly productive in a fast-paced environment.
* Working knowledge of Perl, Java, and Ruby languages.
* Working knowledge of Apache and Oracle SQL.
* Working knowledge of CVS, Aegis, Subversion or other revision control systems.
* Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript preferred.
* Dynamics AX/ERP knowledge desired.
* General working knowledge of Windows and/or Macintosh operating systems, and general office automation tools like Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Strong understanding of software application lifecycle in a team environment.
* Understanding of test-driven development.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Organizes, prioritizes and coordinates multiple work activities and meets critical deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Capable of providing direction to less experienced programmers.
* Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a project team.
* Ability to represent the company in a professional and positive manner and promote company values.df-tc
