Job Summary:

Due to company growth, ADESA IT is actively recruiting for a Sr. Peoplesoft Programmer/Analyst. This position will be responsible for development, testing, and implementation of system patches, modifications, and new module rollout within Peoplesoft Financials. Upcoming opportunities include the potential rollout of Expenses and Purchasing modules and enhancement of Treasury, A/R, and Billing modules with many other prospects on the horizon. The ideal candidate is an eager self-starter with a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn in a changing environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Accept and complete programming tasks for new development or maintenance to existing applications. Provide estimates to the Project Leader or Team Lead for work to be completed. Work with Business Analysts and Database Administrators in the design of applications.

2. Translate functional requirements into software application designs and implement those designs; perform application development. Unit test all work prior to moving to Software Quality.

3. Troubleshoot and investigate production issues found in applications.

4. Mentor other team members in regards to software design, analysis and development tips and techniques.

5. Become familiar with the business operations for the organization and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.

6. Work with the Project Leader or Team Lead to achieve maximum results through the software development lifecycle process and adhere to all development processes and procedures.

7. Assist with training other information technology team members regarding the department's tools, applications, policies and procedures. Function as a secondary point of contact to answer questions and provide functional leadership.

8. Perform code review with team members and work with Project Leader or Team Lead to develop quality and procedural processes.

9. Assist the management team with evaluating 3rd party vendor application packages.

10. Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years Peoplesoft development experience and a minimum of three (3) years experience with SQL Server or Oracle experience required.

Additional Skills:

- Peoplesoft Financials development using SQR, PeopleCode, and Application Engine

- Experience customizing and supporting workflow

- Prior experience applying Peoplesoft patch bundles

- System and QA testing participation required

- nVision development and support experience

- Ability to write detailed technical specifications based on business requirements

- Solid communication skills with both business and technical staff

- Strong analytical and debugging skills

- Prior support or customer service experience is a plusdf-tc
