Job Title: Senior Programmer/Analyst - Real Estate Systems

Reports To: Manager - Real Estate Systems

Key Interactions: Frequent interaction with Project Manager, key business clients, other Application Groups, IS Technology Services and IS Operations. Periodic contact with Application/Technology vendors


Position Overview:
Qualified candidate will provide on going maintenance and support of existing systems. He/she will understand, translate, and extend business function requirements into technical requirements. The individual will contribute to a professional team environment through collaboration and informative exchange.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Support existing system processes
  • Maintain data integrity
  • Understand the technical and functional requirements for current and proposed systems
  • Prepare technical specifications and plans for developing, testing and implementing applications
  • Effectively write code and use development tools in constructing applications
  • Utilize high-quality test methodologies/quality assurance
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks, understanding and achieving expectations
  • Recognize opportunities and propose solutions to improve business processes
  • Utilizing SDLC, prepare technical specifications and plans for developing, testing and implementing applications
  • Meet regularly with Project Manager and communicate status, including potential delays or risks
  • Monitor existing systems to insure consistency and reliability
  • Assist business area individuals in with technology issues, particularly in the use of applications

    Professional Requirements:
    Strong knowledge of:
  • Oracle / SQL RDBMS
  • Programming using:
    o T-SQL or PL/SQL
    o Visual Basic
  • Microsoft Visual Basic and/or Visual C#
  • Application Integration methods and tools
    Experience with:
  • Functional Requirements Definition
  • Technical Requirements Definition
  • Application and System Testing
    Additional valuable experience:
  • Microsoft .NET
  • Microsoft Access
  • Retail industry applications
    Background:
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Adaptable to dynamic priorities based on business requirements
  • 5 years in programming/applications deployment
  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.df-tc
