Sr. Programmer Analyst
This position will be a technical lead for the MMIS project, performing program modifications required for theWashington, DCMedicaid system.
Code, unit test, system test & implement mainframe COBOL II program modifications
Work on the Medicaid Management Information System application; including periodic on-call responsibilities
Research system modifications & define system requirements & resources
Review routine system changes developed by other programmers
Mentor junior technical staff and be a technical leader
Conduct walk-throughs and present test results to customer
Update System & User Documentation
Post-implementation System change review

Ideal candidate should be able to work face to face with the customer, gather requirements, create detailed specifications and manange small projects. Self starter and require minimum supervision. All other duties as assigned.

2-year degree in Information Systems or related field, or related experience
3 years MMIS technical experience
Two years mainframe programming experience; COBOL II, TSO, VSAM, JCL, DB II
PC-literate; Word or WordPerfect in Windows environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment
Independent and self-motivated worker

Experience in Medicaid Management Information Systems
Experience with creating test plans and building test cases for systems changes.
Update and create system documentation
Experience working with customer to develop and define business requirements for systems modification.
Training experience
Windows-NT, LAN environment
MS-Office 97 or MS-Office 2000
