Senior Programmer Analyst
Link Technologies is currently looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst. This is a contract position in the area of Carson City, NV.
Candidates must be able to:
Resolve known ASF form problems and document steps and procedures.
Consult with IS Technical Staff to understand the current implementation of the ASF forms process.
Assist technical staff with resolving issues relating to ASF forms productions.
Consult with technical staff to define and document areas of the ASF process.
Provide training in ASF to technical staff.
Evaluate the stability of ASF in the clients environment.
Experience and Skills Desired:
Strong analytical, technical and communication skills;
Strong working knowledge of Application Support Facility (ASF) in both batch and online environments with emphasis on Document Composition features with and without macros;
Five plus (5+) years of experience with Cross System Product (CSP) or COBOL programming in both batch and CICS environments;
Five plus (5+) years of experience with troubleshooting and tracing JCL processes including spawned JCL (JCL submitted to the internal reader from a CICS process);
Three plus (3+) years of experience with PL/1 programming;
Seven plus (7+) years of relational database experience, at least two (2) years of that experience being specific to DB2 in the Mainframe environment;
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
Strong working knowledge of training and/or mentoring concepts;
Experience working with Dept of Health and Human Services, Welfare and Support, is a real plus.
