Description
Tucson Client has 2 positions for AS/400 RPG Programmer Analysts. Need is immediate. Looking for hands on coder with some supervisory experience.
Must RPG4/ILE. Salary Range 55 65 K

General Position Requirements:

Determines project requirements, prepares time estimates for projects of any size, performs general design work, creates detail designs, programs from general and detail designs, tests new business applications or changes to existing business applications. Prepares project status reports and accounts for project time.
Maintains existing application architecture, including application processes and database designs. Modifies with the approval of the Applications Development Manager. Ensures that IT standards, naming conventions and guidelines are followed.
Provides advice and assistance on strategic and tactical issues, consults on new projects and provides assistance on current issues, coordinates meetings for project planning, issue discussion, and priority setting,
Responds to and solves assigned Help Desk problems, provides after hours applications support for production systems,
Develops a moderate understanding of business functions and system relationships,
Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
6 plus years of experience with RPG, and RPG ILE in an AS/400 environment.
Recent experience developing/coding in Java.
Excellent subfile skills.
Knowledge of and experience with embedded SQL.
Experience with batch and interactive programming in RPG.
Must have outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related IT field.

Nice to have experience:
Retail and or Catalogue experience
Linux operating system experience
Distribution, financial, inventory planning, or retail system experience
