Senior Programmer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Experience in managing and developing within the full systems development life cycle.
? Partners with Business Integrator to develop functional specifications according to high level designs.
? Partners with IT team members to identify hardware and software needs and design a network configuration to support large development efforts.
? Contributes to the creation of project plans, assignment of resources and durations of tasks.
? Establishes coding standards and processes that align with industry standards for web and database development.
? Conducts code reviews of contractor code to ensure adherence to standards and functional specifications.
? Designs database ER Models to support large development projects.
? Creates program designs based on business logic.
? Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
? Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
? Manages contractors, provides guidance and oversees designs created by contract programmers.
? Interviews and selects qualified programming contractors based on technical needs of a project.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR Minimum of ten years programming experience.
? Extensive knowledge and experience with SQL, MS Access, MS SQL Server Transact SQL, ASP, COM+, Visual Basic, VB script, Java script, HTML and XML. Some ASP.NET Experience helpful.
? Extensive knowledge in full software life-cycle development.
? Excellent communication and managerial skills.
? Strong organizational skills and proven ability to juggle a large number of tasks simultaneously.
