Senior Project Manager
Thompson Technologies is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for our client in Atlanta, GA. This is a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a payments processing solutions background.

In this role, the Sr. Project Manager will manage multiple mid to large-scale projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
Authoring and managing the project plan inclusive of clarifying business benefits, stakeholder engagement, scoping and estimating, project resource coordination, budget management, driving cross-functional team deliverables and schedules, hitting target milestones, managing assigned projects according to plan, risk and issue management; and collaborating closely with stakeholders during the complete project life cycle.

Qualifications:

• A dynamic, results-oriented, detail-driven project/program manager with 5-8 years of project management experience
• Expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects involving challenging requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines
• Expertise in developing financial/work estimates and of budget tracking
• A proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with software project and project management concepts, practices and procedures including familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule development.
• Demonstrated ability to make project assessments, and to intervene as required to get projects on track
• Expertise in both written and interpersonal communication, in relationship building, and in collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets, and levels of experience.
• Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
• Ability (and preference!) to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in consulting
• Background in Financial Services; background in Payments a big plus
• Experience in implementing project management process/methodology
• Experience in coaching junior Project Managers
