Description
Senior Project Manager for Infrastructure Transformation.This role will lead a single project of high complexity, a small program, or a group of related smaller projects to enable the transformation of GMAC Financial Services infrastructure technology into a shared services model.The overall program scope includes all data center, network and data communications, and end-user computing platforms, services, facilities, and resources.The PM will have primary responsibility to ensure the project(s) s/he is responsible for are delivered on time, within budget, and as required by the customer. This resource must have prior experience with data center and/or technology services consolidation.Very strong project management discipline and methodology experience is requisite.

<b>Job Purpose</b>
The Senior Project Manager knows the customer’s business and/or seeks information about the real underlying needs of the customer, beyond those initially expressed and not obvious to others.Matches those needs to available (or customized) products and/or services to meet those needs.Negotiates to resolve customer issues by seeking win-win solutions that add value to the customer. Provides direction and oversight to project teams to design, develop, deploy and sustain solutions that meet applicable business requirements.

May be responsible for a single project of medium to high complexity, a small program, or a group of smaller, unrelated projects; manages interdependencies between projects within and outside scope of responsibility.Responsible for project deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality.Allocates and directs resources to accomplish project tasks, and maintains control project schedule(s) and deliverable quality.

Responsible for resolving issues and mitigating risks, escalating issues/risks when appropriate.Manages project teams, which may include GMAC employee and/or vendor team members, informs the team of its progress; leads/develops GMAC staff members.Acts as an interface to IT and Business Partners; develops/maintains strong relationship with vendor teams and vendor management.Assists with development of RFPs/SOWs and vendor selection.df-tc
