We have an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager with Financial Industry experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an immediate need with a client local to Charlotte that is a Fortune 100 company for a Senior Level Project Manager. This role will be a contract for a minimum of 8 to 10 months. The client is looking for the following with your skill set.

- Candidates must be able to support this and other projects with respect to:
o Provide leadership at a senior level for the project assigned.
o Be able to step into the Program Manager role when that individual is not available.
o Plans, manages and reports on one or more projects that are complex in scope, risk and/or organizational span.
o Defines, coordinates, schedules and assigns project tasks.
o Will have direct supervisory responsibilities for other contractors. Manages and mentors individuals who directly or indirectly report to this position.
o Responsible for financial forecasts and reports. Manage project to +/- 2% budget.
- Specifically for this project:
o Develop and implement plans to merge and manage multiple badge access systems. Includes processes for support models and roles/responsibilities.
o Work with owning organizations to ensure sustainability plans and target operating models are in place after project is completed.
o Develop and implement training, education and help desk information

Minimum Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager in a technology environment (at least 5 years, preferably in a large financial services firm).
- Essential that candidate have enterprise-level experience in wide-scale, politically sensitive deployments.
- Leadership and Technical Skills:
o Demonstrated ability to motivate matrixed, geographically dispersed teams in a rapidly changing environment
o Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and at the same time deliver quality results on time and within budget.
o Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner
o Expert in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
o Able to generate, review, edit, and distribute executive-level reports

- People Skills and Work Ethic:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
o Candidate must present a professional image to high-level management, be able to articulate thoughts clearly, and produce high quality written products
o Works reliably, both independently and within a team environment, with limited supervision and guidance. Must display initiative.
o Must be detail-oriented, and possess a strong, results-oriented work ethic
o Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/deadlines simultaneously
o Must possess sound judgment/reasoning skills
o Must possess good organizational and polished communication skills
o Must be able to cope well with change in a dynamic environment and deal effectively with ambiguity
