We have an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager who has been involved from the ground-level in establishing a successful Project Management Office (PMO), preferably in a Manufacturing environment.

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion of the new product development, R&D and continuous improvement projects consistent with agreed-to measures (i.e., voice of the customer, cycle time, schedule conformance, quality, performance, unit manufacturing cost, internal budget expenditure, net present value). As a leader of the Project Management Office (PMO), this individual is responsible for effectively leveraging technology, the product portfolio and corporate assets to drive significant customer satisfaction.

The Sr. Project Manager will have no direct employee responsibility but will have significant input to the performance appraisals of team members working on his/her projects and is expected to co-facilitate performance appraisal discussions with employees.

The key responsibilities are:
.Develops and executes a multi-functional project management process to deliver new and improved products and programs. Leads activities related to critical corrective action reports and Six Sigma improvement.
.Leads cross-functional teams, ensuring that comprehensive functional plans and deliverables are in place.
.Provides for the timely assessment, planning, and execution of individual projects and the project portfolio.
.Identifies, implements and drives the rigorous use of process tools to assure that commitments are well defined and met.
.Manages project and portfolio risk at all levels and ensures effective contingency planning.
.Establishes and follows organizational policies and procedures related to project management.
.Develops and monitors key product, project, and business measures.
.Achieves expected and committed product delivery, quality, performance, and financial goals.
.Ensures that products are consistent with market/customer needs.
.Responsible and accountable for the continuous improvement of all aspects of the project management process.
.Leads regular project review and resource allocation meetings.
.Ensures that project managers are properly trained with regard to project management processes, procedures and tools.

Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate must have experience establishing a PMO from the ground-level. PMP Certification would be a major plus.
