We are currently seeking to fill a Senior Project Manager position for our client in Deerfield, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Overview:
Our client seeks an astute Senior Project Manager to strengthen the Product Development department at the office in Deerfield, a northern suburb of Chicago. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes. This position will manage a team of matrixed resources within the PMO, IT and Business Units to achieve desired results. For projects with large technology components, this position will interface with a technical project manager.

Responsibilities:
- Working with the various stakeholders and end users to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs.
- Managing projects as determined by the project prioritization process.
- Managing matrixed project teams throughout the project life cycle.
- Utilizing established project management methodology to manage projects.
- Contributing to new methodology development activities, as appropriate.
- Resolving issues that may affect project progress.
- Guiding users in gathering requirements, developing test plans, creating training plans and executing implementation plans.
- Providing project status reporting with metrics.
- Implementing project closedown procedures including post-project surveys.

Qualifications:
Along with a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business or a related field, qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in new product development. Background should include a demonstrated experience in the successful management of multiple, simultaneous and complex projects. Experience working with third party integrations is a plus.

Demonstrated understanding of health care products and experience with a health care software vendor would be ideal. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, strong leadership skills, strong organizational abilities and Microsoft Office proficiency are essential. Candidates must live within 50 miles of our Deerfield office, as we cannot provide relocation assistance.
