Description
Basic Function:
Responsible for the management of all activities related to the successful planning, documenting, testing, and implementation of mainframe/pc system business projects. Manages, on a day-to-day basis the production support and coordination of clients business/system requirements, including the notification, resolution, and implementation of activities related to mainframe/pc systems. Oversees staff contributions to the creation of project plans that included activities to be performed, estimated time frame and effort in accordance with a client requirement; assures adherence to all current standards and procedures. Works closely with technical counterparts to ensure the development of standards for use in user acceptance testing of new or modified system enhancements. Monitors all work to ensure completion of schedules and accurate and timely status reporting to management. Manages resource budget for each client area, reviewing monthly variance reporting and reforecasting. Exercises management authority over the department to include hiring, termination, performance review, salary recommendations, and staff development. Responsible for managing all aspects of the project. These responsibilities include problem resolution, definition of project functional specifications, thorough testing of all system changes on behalf of the client, and day-to-day consultation support of all system users. Manage the resource budget by client area, which includes monthly variance reporting and reforecasting. Provides for continued staff development through day-to-day coaching and by developing training plans for each staff member.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience. Minimum of ten years experience in mainframe/pc systems, specifically in systems utilized in areas of responsibilities. Four to five years managerial experience. Excellent PC/Mainframe skills. Experience on large system enhancements, conversions, and production problem resolution. Excellent analytical and project management skills. Extensive knowledge of the business environment and the Bank.
