Job Description
We are actively seeking a Senior QA Engineer to work at our company headquarters in McLean, VA. This person will fulfill the following responsibilities:

Develop plans for functional testing of incremental releases software products on multiple platforms, perform testing, and document results from functional specifications.
Develop performance and stress test plans, perform testing, and document results.
Developing testing schedules and monitoring progress against the schedules
Review requirements for testability.
Manage the defect tracking and remediation process for QA problems discovered
Verify the quality (clarity, accuracy, grammar, etc.) of user documentation and on-line help.
Analyzing and investigating data integrity issues
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Validate maintenance packages
Help establish and document software life-cycle processes and procedures.


Required:

Strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycle
Experience with automated testing tools.
Detail-oriented and organized, ability to prioritize work across multiple projects
Over 5 years experience developing test plans and performing all types of software testing in a commercial product environment (i.e., functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, load testing, stress testing, integration testing).
Experience in developing and performing automated functional and system tests with functional testing and performance testing tools (such as QuickTest Pro, SilkTest, etc.)
Experience in creating detailed test cases and test data in support of test plans
Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL).
Experience with Java, JSP, Tag libraries, XML, HTML JavaScript and SQL
Basic networking and system administration knowledge.
Shell level programming experience.
Experience with internet-based products and services.
Experience using a defect tracking system.
Relational database experience/SQL including at SQL Sever, DB2 or Oracle
Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
