POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will be extensively involved in adherence to the QA Process and methodologies. The candidate will be assigned to projects that are large and complex in scale and can be responsible for 1 or more QA engineers. The candidate should have practical experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies and practices. They should have extensive white box testing knowledge, as well as black box testing. They should be familiar with various types of testing, such as Integration, Systems and UAT. They will act as the first point of contact for assigned projects, and are responsible of all QA tasks and milestones. They will be responsible for creating and/or reviewing Test Plans, Test Cases and daily status reports. The Senior QA Engineer role should be a mentor to all junior team members and provide opportunities for their development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of QA experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in field
  • Comprehensive understanding of the QA’s role and participation in various SDLC models, including waterfall and agile
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and articulate problem areas and develop preventative solutions
  • Work with a high degree of independence on projects
  • Proven experience in identifying the relationship of bugs to software codes

  • Analysis of business requirements
  • Proven ability to establish test case coverage against requirements
  • Proven ability to perform risk assessments
  • Proven ability to construct detailed test plans and test cases
  • Ability to interpret HTML, XML structures and data
  • Strong technical background with black box and white box testing
  • Understanding and experience with test automation tools and solutions
  • Understanding and experience with developing/obtaining load test requirements
  • Familiarity with code deployment processes
  • Proven leadership and team building abilities
  • Strong communication skills
