Our client is seeking a Senior QA Tester who will work for a medical imaging company. The main responsibility will be to test between the hardware and software to determine how to more efficiently run the systems and can help make good decisions as to how to run the applications (how many instances of the application are necessary to meet demand, when to schedule running of jobs, etc). In addition, other duties include setting up the hardware (which applications to install on what hardware, determining how much disk space is necessary to accommodate efficient processing during low and peak times, etc.), and maximizing database performance based on volume of transactions. The system is run on Linux; however, they would be interested in seeing someone with this type of experience on UNIX also. This is not a developer - this is a senior performance engineer. This is a 3-month contract.
