Kaiser Permanente, parterning with Genesis10 Consulting, is seeking an experienced business analyst for a 13-week contract in Oakland, CA.

The Project: Kaiser Permanente (KP) is currently embarking on a massive effort to implement the KP National Systems Strategy, upgrading our application systems in the three following portfolios: Care Delivery, Health Plan Operation and Business Infrastructure. One of the biggest challenges we are facing is to integrate these new systems with each other and with the remaining legacy systems to create an integrated software platform that fully supports our unique business model. The Enterprise Integration Services group has been created to address this challenge. EIS is responsible for designing, analyzing, developing, testing and implementing application integration solutions and providing message transport across platforms. Within EIS, the QA Team coordinates the environment configuration, develops test plan and completes certification for specified collaborations. We are currently seeking a Technical Quality Assurance Specialist Contractor for the EIS QA Team.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Technical Quality Assurance Specialist Contractor position is responsible for the integration needs and testing for the National Pricing System project. This position requires a strong knowledge of Unix, J2EE, MQ Series, JMS, Web Services and their use in system integration.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
o 5+ years of software development and/or QA testing experience
o 3+ years of Unix, J2EE, XML, MQ Series, JMS, Web Services
o Strong customer focus
o Strong project lifecycle experience
o Strong planning and coordination skills
o Solid understanding of software development life cycle
o Broad-based knowledge of application systems technologies
o Prior systems integration experience for large scale systems preferred
o Familiar with a variety of middleware and endpoint infrastructures
o Experience in Health Insurance Industry preferred.
