Senio r Quality Assurance Engineer (Silk Test / Shell)
Location: Murray Hill, NJ
Duration: Full-time/perm

Responsibilities:
• Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with software systems background to lead
• Automation and tools infrastructure development in a Unix and Windows environment, both hands-on and in a lead role
• The development and execution of automated scripts, the execution of manual tests from the command line and a user interface, the implementation and management of QA processes, detailed documentation review and verification, and QA resources scheduling and assignments tracking experience.
• Enhance the automated infrastructure to reduce code redundancy.
• Enhance regressions to implement complex testing scenarios, more permeations of functionality testing, and increase code coverage.
• Identify, automate, and execute test cases, including fault diagnostics.
• Develop automated GUI tests using SilkTest agents for Windows, Linux, and Solaris, reducing code redundancy, and create automated GUI regression tests.
• Develop and implement the automation of InstallShield packages installation testing, perform InstallShield packages manual testing.
• Analyze nightly builds and test results reports and determine causes, generate standardized automated test reports.
• Manage, enhance, and grow release metrics system.
• Lead QA documentation, and contribute to all products documentation.
• Work with Development Team to implement diagnostics and testing capabilities into company’s products.
• Write detailed test procedures and plans.
• Track, assign, and review all internal issues and target fixes, features, and enhancements for review. Lead effort on reviewing and targeting issues per release.

Requirements:• 5+ years experience in testing system-level software written in C++ and Java related technologies.
• 2+ years experience in SilkTest
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience) is required, graduate degree is desired.
• Prior development experience is desired.
• Experience with and knowledge of relational databases. Database testing experience would be a plus.
• Tool creation and script automation for testing using Perl, Java, and Unix shell.
• Experience with Expect or JUnit is a plus.
• Experience and comfortable in a Unix, Linux, and Windows development and testing environment.
• Experience with Quality Assurance and testing methodologies, and familiarity with defects reporting, reports standardization, and entrance and exit criteria.
• Experience with Eclipse Integrated Development Environment would be great. JavaScript development is a plus.
