Description
Senior Quality Assurance engineer to participate in the overall system test & qualification of enterprise level server product offerings. The position requires a hands-on, driven, well organized and experienced professional with a solid background in the entire QA lifecycle.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

--Responsible for developing and executing test plans which validate the product specifications and requirements, documenting the test results, and interacting with the developers to ensure a quality product is released on time

--Validates system architectures to ensure performance, scalability, availability, and recoverability of products

--Conduct load, stress and performance tests

--Works closely with Software Engineers, Customer Support Engineers and Customers to validate product use cases and requirements

--Designs and develops test programs, including test tools and automated test suites as needed to effectively test product suites


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

--BS in CS degree or 5+ years general IT work experience

--Must have a working knowledge of software engineering and quality assurance processes, possess good communication skills, be self-motivated, and results orientated

--Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical data

--Adept at identifying technical bottlenecks and potential software limitations

--Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills

--Experience in networking (2+ years), database systems (4+ years)

--Experience working on any of the following Unix platforms: Solaris, Linux, HPUX, AIX, SCO


MUST POSSESS UNDERSTANDING OF

--Networking, TCP/IP (2+ years)

--Java (2+ years)

--XML

--Blackbox Testing (3+ years)

--Whitebox Testing (2+ years)

--Database Testing (2+ years)

--SQL (2+)

--Standalone Test Tool Development (2+ years)

--Perl, Shell Scripting, Expect

--Test Automation - (Silktest Preferred)

--Performance Testing (Silk Performer Preferred)
