Position: Senior Quality EngineerJob Description: This is a QA performance programming position and successful candidate will be designing, implementing and maintaining our performance benchmarks as well as interpreting and documenting results.Additional responsibilities include: *Develop, document, execute and maintain performance harnesses for multiple versions of product releases * Implement and/or fix performance harnesses and automation scripts *Identify and report root causes for performance problems *Documenting and charting performance trends *Proposing new approaches for performance measurements *Mentoring QA and Development staff on performance monitoring tactics and toolsRequired Experience & Education: *Must be highly skilled with C/C on Windows and Linux. *Must be highly skilled in XML and Perl which are used to drive performance test harnesses and gather/triage test data. *Must have solid performance experience and instincts. *Must have excellent documentation and communication skills as well as skills at charting performance results in meaningful ways.Preferred Experience & Education: *Good understanding of platform-specific performance counters and sampling mechanisms *Good understanding of kernel-level vs user-level performance measuring tactics and mechanismsdf-tc
