Senior Quality EngineerHouston, TX, USJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our development team. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer will be to:A Quality Engineer must be able to work independently on complex quality assurance tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing where a variety of identifiable factors may impact the results. Work assignments will include resolving problems or coordinating efforts of multiple departments. Duties will include, but not be limited to:Key Responsibilities* Designing, implementing, and executing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating accuracy* Perform Quality Assurance testing and documentation activities for projects* Authoring test plans and coordinating these plans with product management, project* Designing and executing functional, application, regression, and performance testingRequired Skills* Experience using Defect tracking software (TeamTrack, Test Director, etc.)* MS Project (desired)* Strong writing and documentation skillsRequired Experience* Broad understanding of the QA process* 5 years of recent QA experience* Experience writing test plans and test cases* Writing performance test plans and developing test scenarios to ensure performance and scalability of our products* Experience testing multi-tiered and Web based applications* Basic knowledge of scripting languages and programming desired* Ability to accurately estimate task durations and schedules* Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision as well as in a team environmentdf-tc
