POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior HR Specialist works under limited supervision to provide recruiting services for various Aon business units for both exempt and nonexempt positions. Assists in development of recruitment policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Sr. HR Specialist works with internal customers and hiring teams to develop recruitment and selection strategies and to design assessment and interview formats. Gathers job requirements from hiring managers and develops knowledge of customer groups to effectively target recruitment efforts in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Uses the Internet, community-based organizations, print media, formal/informal networks, etc. to source a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Screens candidates for vacant positions within his/her specific customer group. Coordinates interviews with hiring manager based on screening interview outcomes. Manages recruitment workflow steps and applicant information in applicant tracking system. Identifies new local and national recruitment sources regularly. May provide recruitment support for Aon?s campus recruitment and internship programs. Utilizes systems developed to track open positions, search status, verify credentials, and conduct background and reference checks. Provides regular reports on status of searches. Assists in compiling staffing reports, makes recommendations on continuous improvement efforts, and tracks effectiveness of sourcing methods and other recruiting metrics (i.e., cost-per-hire, time to fill vacancies, etc.). Maintains candidate EEO tracking logs. Functions as back up for other recruiters to cover during peak recruitment, vacations, or illnesses. Performs other duties as assigned. This is aigh volume recruiting role for internal (corporate positions within Aon)throughout the Southeast region.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of 4 years of recruiting experience. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills required. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, as well as strong computer skills (Word and Excel). Must have the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, both within and outside of Aon. Solid job content/technical knowledge relevant to specific customer base is required. Must have the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and laws related to employment activities and to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor?s Degree in Business or Human Resources plus equivalent experience.
