Description
The role of the Senior Staffing Specialist is to recruit for specified positions and to participate in the development of staffing-related processes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sources and identifies candidates for open and pipeline positions using all available tools, including but not limited to the following: initial contact, HR interview, technical interview, and management interview.
  • Manages multiple clients and competing demands in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Works closely with HR Business Partners/Consultants and hiring managers to understand the recruiting needs of the business; anticipates hiring needs and proactively identifies recruiting solutions to meet those needs.
  • Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent to classification, selection and referral.
  • Develops long-term, realistic, sustainable staffing strategies that drive customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
  • Screens and interviews potential candidates. Prepares ratings on applicants, makes recommendations on starting salaries, and provides applicants with relevant company information
  • Benchmarks compensation externally, creates effective sourcing strategies, sources candidates, conducts competency-based interview, checks references and executes the offer process flawlessly.
  • Utilizes resources to maximize the strategic role of the Staffing function, and eliminates non-value added work. Focuses on continuous improvement and makes suggestions to improve the staffing process, policy and strategy.
  • Ensures the organization complies with laws and regulations as it relates to sourcing, recruiting and hiring.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
  • Focuses on the right metrics for success (e.g. cost, cycle time, quality of hire, etc.)
  • Effectively troubleshoots problems that arise in connection with recruiting and hiring.
  • Keeps HR Business Partners/Consultants and hiring managers updated as appropriate.
  • Effectively interacts with all levels of employees, answering questions and providing information.
  • Establishes and maintains processes to maximize resume tracking software.
  • Participate in cross–Boston Scientific projects and task forces, as appropriate.

    Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities
    Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

    5 years of experience, with hands-on experience in direct sourcing, internet recruiting, working with line managers and behavioral interviewing. Undergraduate degree required.df-tc
