Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Release Engineer for a major client in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Engineer is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the product release software delivery pipeline, from development through customer release. This resource will provide expertise to expand the existing build system by improving current procedures through documentation and development and/or purchase of build and deployment tools. Also responsible for all build and release tools including source and software change management tools.

Responsibilities:
- Lead projects necessary to create infrastructure, processes and documentation required to support software maintenance and deployment.
- Coordinate the assembly of components necessary to construct reliable software products.
- Coordinate the processing of software through development, quality assurance, user acceptance and production phases.
- Coordinate and lead interdepartmental staff in implementing production software changes.
- Provide work leadership to less senior technicians.
- Works in conjunction with the Development and QA teams to maintain and improve multiple product and multiple project development environments.
- Ensure proper archiving and viability of product releases.
- Work closely with Technical Leads, QA Team and Project managers to ensure environments meet project needs.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Required Experience/Skills:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
- Proven ability developing tools and procedures in support of enterprise release management processes and tools using contemporary Windows based tools (preferably Team Server and/or VB6).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
- Knowledge of enterprise software architecture.
- Experience in mission critical enterprise computer systems.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Proven ability to automate and design complex software systems.
- In depth knowledge of Visual Basic (VB6 or .Net) or C# and deployment techniques (Install Shield, Wise, Windows Installer, MSI packages).
- Experience with at least one source management and bug tracking tool (VSS, Clear Case, StarTeam, Perforce, etc).
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience in Financial Services helpful.
