About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Release Engineer to manage our daily and weekly release processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in web/service infrastructure and a strong understanding of software development best practices. This individual will be working with our Engineering and I.T. Operations teams to provide the tools, processes, and support necessary to meet our development, deployment, and control objectives. This position is a challenging role working within an energetic group, consisting of talented technical professionals. The leadership team strongly supports career planning, development, and growth.

Experience/Skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Release Management: release applications, patches, and bug fixes to the production environment; assist in the development, promotion, and enforcement of release management guidelines and controls; assist in assessing current release tools suite and release automation/workflow opportunities.

Required education, skills, and experience:
" Computer Science or other relevant degree, or work experience equivalent to formal qualification.
" 4+ years release management and software version control (CVS a plus) experience.
" 4+ years experience supporting/developing Unix and Windows systems/applications.
" 4+ years experience programming in one or more of the following environments/languages: PERL, Java, JavaScript, ASP, C++, C#, .NET.
" 2+ years providing lead direction for a technical team.
" Thorough understanding of web technologies, architectures, and development best practices.
" Familiar with Change, Release, and Configuration Management
