We are searching for a Senior SAN Engineer.

 

Hot company (voted top 100 Best places to work in the bay area) that provides security solutions to many of the world's largest enterprise and government customers is looking for a  Senior SAN Engineer to be responsible for driving the technology strategy and direction for IP SAN product lines. The candidate will be expected to drive technological and organizational change based upon development in industry, competition, and customer trends in the SAN and iSCSI space. 

 

 Responsibilities 

 


  • Designing of software solutions to meet the Tape/SAN and iSCSI storage needs of medium and large enterprise customers in all market sectors

  • Understand and implement key technologies either personally or by leading teams of engineers

  • Driving the architecture and implementation of  Tape/SAN & iSCSI products and provide technical leadership to teams responsible for  SAN & iSCSI integration & interoperability with partner products


 

Qualifications (Required)

 


  • BSCS/CE/ or related discipline required; MS.PhD in Computer Science or related discipline

  • 10+ Years relevant experience

  • A proven track record of invention and implementation of new marketable Storage Products and Technologies

  • Experience in and thorough understanding of  Tape, tape backup applications, tape failover, shared storage implementations for tape and complex backup configurations such as LAN-free, mixed OS or mixed application setups

  • Experience in and thorough understanding of the array-based storage market including midrange and high-end enterprise arrays and entry-level integrated SAN/iSCSI solution, and complementary client software such as device drivers, volume managers, multipathing applications and clustering applications

  • Experience or familiarity with FICON/ESCON tape or disk is a plus
